The reason that you are always getting pushed off a hand or never seem to get to the river is because you are playing defense, giving other players the opportunity to bet at the pot before you. The best way to stop this from happening to you is simple, start taking a proactive stance. Rather than calling or checking at the flop, bet big, If you get a raise from someone thinking they can push you, raise them all in.
